Notes from the Assessor
In order to comply with the Michigan State Tax Commission recommendations, Thetford Township Assessing Department will be reviewing 20% of parcels located within Thetford Township each year. Starting April 1st, the Assessor, will be conducting physical inspections of properties in the Township. This includes measuring the exterior of the house and other structures on the property, taking pictures and interviewing owners to obtain interior characteristics of the structures. At no time will they request to enter your house or any buildings on your property. They will be displaying Thetford Township ID badges, which has their name on them. You may also request to view their Michigan Driver’s License to aid in identifying them.
